ALDO
Frederike has a very exacting style with a touch of fun. I was able to learn again something I already knew while working with her for a week on this Aldo campaign. She is always looking for visually dense opportunities to photograph but she was very particular with the ratio between the daylight and the flash power that we were using. It became an enjoyable juggle with the assistant as we constantly communicated where we needed to be in our settings and balancing all the crazy color and scene changes we would discover throughout multiple location changes.
I worked on this shoot as we just started working with the new USB-C apple laptops. We really put it through its paces this whole week and it passed easily, never again to use an older laptop for capture.
Here is the camera setup for the shoot. The XF paired with its IQ digital back was just a tank that would never miss a frame.
